About 5,000 years ago Egypt became very powerful.They created all sorts that you can see today.Egyptians built temples, pyramids and great cities.

The Egyptians made something called a shuduf .They needed this because they did not have much rainfall.

In the times, floods from the River Nile left behind thick black mud.They used it to build houses.
Gods and Death!
Ancient Egyptians worshipped many gods but three most important gods were Osirs the god of death.His wife Isis the maker of the first mummy and their son Horus the protector of the pharaoh.
Fashion!!!
People in the times wore different things to us .Men wore a simple tunic or kilt.The women wore a long dress of linin. People put on a wig from sheep wool or human hair.It needed a lot of looking after.
