The Theme
I think the theme is loyalty and team work. I think this because Pax is very loyal by staying in the same spot where he left him (by the side of the road) so that he could see him. Peter also did this by setting off to find him. He left his grampa’s house so he could travel almost three hundred miles. Teamwork is also a key theme as it is a strong element of the story. It is showed when Peter finds Vola’s home -he fell over a branch and badly hurt his ancle the night before-.Vola used to be a paramedic she helped him build his strength, made crutches and a cast then he got back on his way to Pax. Teamwork is also important here as well, Pax met three other foxes called Britsle, Runt (who are brother and sister) and Grey who taut him how to catch food and other things he didn’t know as his family died and could not teach him.
